Anything Else You Want to Know?

The 160KM Wild Burren Way starts at 9am.

The 110KM Aillwee starts at 9am.

The 75KM Giants Playground starts at 9.10am.

The 22Km Dromore Family Spin starts at 10am.

There will be no mechanics on the road, and it is your responsibility to ensure your bike is in good working condition. Check tyres and tubes before you leave home and bring spare tubes with you.

There will be First Aid crews on hand to assist with any incidents. Their emergency number will be clearly shown on your event wrist band.

All routes are clearly marked with BLACK AND YELLOW directional signage. Each cyclist must make themselves aware of the route they have chosen to ride; event organisers are not responsible for any wrong turns.

On the longer routes (160Km and 110Km) the food stop will be in Ballyvaughan. The food stop at Ballyvaughan will offer sandwiches..

There will be a refreshment stop in Carron on the 75KM route.

Toilets are available in the parking area.

There will likely be showers so come prepared.

While roads will not be officially closed for the event, there will be a rolling road closure at the start to make sure pelotins (main group of back riders) do not experience high volumes of traffic. Please be sure to always follow the rules of the road and expect the unexpected.

Free parking is available in Barefield. Follow the signage.

Registration for all routes will take place in Barefield on the evening of Friday 21st June and early morning on Saturday 22nd June.

Campers are welcome to the Tour de Burren. Details will be shared closer to the time.

Details of shower facilities will be shared closer to the event.

Yes – all levels of cyclists are welcome! You can choose the route that suits your level of fitness and experience, and you will be well looked after on the road by marshals, back-up vehicles and First Aid personnel.

All cyclists under the age of 18 years must be accompanied on the road by an adult and all cyclists choosing the longer routes should be over 16 years of age. For shorter routes cyclists should be over 12 years of age.
